CONTEXTE

Le Pondorly rallie la commune de Rungis au Marché d'Intérêt National (M.I.N), plus grand marché de produits agricoles du monde.
Il enjambe l'autoroute A106 qui relie Paris à l'aéroport d'Orly.
Son environnement proche est constitué de parcelles composés d'hôtels, de parkings, et d'une station essence.

CONTEXT

Pondorly connects the city of Rungis to the Marché d'Intérêt National (M.I.N), the biggest food market in the world.
Il's spans highway A106, which connects Paris with the Orly airport.
It is surrounded by hotels, parking lots and a gas station.

PROGRAMME 2016

Le Pondorly de demain sera résolument tourné vers l'événementiel dans toutes ses dimensions. Vous êtes invités à créer un lieu festif, de réunions diurnes et nocturnes. Votre proposition pourra inclure: salle de concerts, discothèque, lieu de projections, restaurant, salle d'exposition, bar...etc.
La fonction traversante du pont devra dans tous les cas être préservée.
Votre greffe architecturale peut être de toute nature et à toutes les échelles, cependant, la structure du bâtiment existant devra toujours être présente dans votre proposition.
Votre intervention devra aussi transformer le pont en signal architectural. Un véritable symbole de l'entrée Sud de Paris.

2016 PROGRAM

new Pondorly will be dedicated to host events of every dimension. You're invited to create a festive place for use during the day as well as during the night. Your project could include: a nightclub, a concert hall, a cinema, a restaurant, an exhibition hall, a bar, etc…
The ability to cross the bridge must be preserved.
Your architectural graft can assume any form or scale; however, the existing structure of the building must be retained in your proposition.
Your intervention should also turn the bridge into an architectural signal; a true symbol for anyone entering Paris from the south.

UN LIEU FESTIF

Vous êtes invités à transformer le Pondorly en lieu d'événements diurnes et nocturnes. Faire converger tous ces fluxs en un ou plusieurs points de rencontre. Le choix du type d'événements ou des typologies d'événements vous appartient.

A FESTIVE LIEU

You are invited to transform Pondorly into an event venue, open day and night, with a convergence of visitors in one or several meeting points. The choice of what type of events is up to you.

UN PASSAGE VERS RUNGIS

Rungis est amené à se transformer d'ici à 2030 en s'ouvrant d'avantage au public. La fonction traversante du pont devra donc être préservée et sublimée.

A PASSAGE TOWARDS RUNGIS

Rungis will be completely transformed by 2025, opening entirely to the public. The ability to cross the bridge must therefore be maintained and highlighted.

La surface du projet devra se situer entre 5 000 m² et 8 000 m².

Votre intervention doit principalement prendre place dans le périmètre 1, (voir schéma ci-dessous). Cependant, votre réfléxion peut se déployer dans l'environnement proche du pont (perimètre 2). Les abords paysagers (perimètre 3) peuvent aussi être integrés à votre refléxion.
Votre greffe architecturale peut être de toute nature et à toutes les échelles, cependant, la structure du bâtiment existant devra toujours être présente dans votre proposition.

The total project area should be between 5 000 m² and 8 000 m².

Your intervention should take place principally in perimeter 1 (see the diagram below). Your reflection may, however, incorporate the area immediately surrounding the bridge (perimiter2). The landscaped border area (perimiter3) can also be considered in your reflection.
Your architectural graft can assume any form or scale; however, the existing structure of the building must be retained in your proposition.
